History

Razor Attack plays heavy metal the way it was meant to be.

Fast, loud, and unforgettable.

Driven by galloping riffs, pounding drums, and massive sing-along choruses, their sound fuses the spirit of classic 80s metal with sharp, modern intensity. No gimmicks. No nostalgia trip. Just real songs, real musicianship, and the mission to bring metal back to the front row—louder, heavier, and catchier than ever.

Following the release of their self-titled debut Razor Attack (2024), the band returned in January 2025 with the single “Enemy Among Us”—a ferocious statement of intent from their upcoming second album. The track was praised for its tight arrangement, soaring chorus, and intense delivery, blending melodic speed metal with heavy-hitting urgency. After recruiting a live keyboard player, the band has played more shows than ever before, refining their stage performance into a fully charged, high-energy experience.

Every gig has shaped the band’s sound, sharpened their presence, and fueled their evolution. With album two in the works and momentum building, Razor Attack is ready to take their place among the genre’s rising forces—refined by the road and written to fill festival stages.

Tommy
"Hellfinger"
Hedin

Role: Lead Vocals, Guitars

Bio

Tommy was born and raised in a red cottage in southern Dalarna, Sweden. He wanted to learn the piano and was therefore given an acoustic guitar for his 10th birthday. It turned out to be a perfect way to pass the time when your only neighbors are trees, lakes, and other small red cottages.

Tommy has been a serial band starter since 1999—beginning with playing guitar and “singing” Swedish punk in Farbror Haj—with Razor Attack being his latest and longest-running project. The band officially formed in 2020, together with drummer Oscar Rask, even though the first single, Razor of Steel, was written as early as 2010—a decade before it was finally brought to life.
Tommy’s musical style is a strange mix of the groovy and bluesy pentatonics with a small splatter of the shreddier old school metal to be found. While aiming for the clean high notes of Bruce Dickinson, Tommy ended up as a baritone in the same register as David Coverdale and Jorn.

Oscar
"DoubleKickinen"
Rask

Role: Drums

Bio

When Oscar was 13 years old, he was completely filled with the roar of the drum beat when he heard his classmate Daniel (from Grand Trick) play; who was deeply influenced by Lars Ulrich. Oscar was saved once again, because when he was 14 he got his first drum set. However, it took 10 years before Oscar dared to play together with other musicians, he practiced every day in secret though. His first band was a worship team, where he learned to count and to play dynamically and to understand that other instruments should also be heard. Why? Once he was mature enough to realize his dream, he joined the band The Grand Station. You know Oscar only enjoys heavier stuff. They played about fifty shows or more, acoustic gigs in squares and street corners were also included. Oscar recorded his first album. While he was playing in The Grand Station, he joined another band on the side; Liquid Alloy. There he met Mattias Ritzen (singer in Bad Taste). He was also invited to create the band Black Steam.

The years have passed, bands have been started and ended. Oscar took some breaks here and there. His own metal project Since the Death was created. Oscar is still recording drums and plays on friends' music such as The Grand Station (no longer a member) and Bullet Fang. Razor Attack is the only band Oscar plays with now and that's how it will be.

Influences

He is influenced by a lot of drummers, taking something here and there but he really enjoy these drummers:
Travis Barker
Peter Wildoer
David Husvik
Baard Kolstad.

Gear

Oscar loves drumgear and can’t stick to only one brand. But you can often see him play with
Wincent 5B sticks (Swedish company)
and
Austrian ACD Darwin doublepedal with steelbeaters.

Louis
"Le Basistinen"
Ohl

Role: Bass

Bio

Louis has no idea what he does, and that is perhaps why he’s a good suit for Linköping’s most dangerous metal band, Razor Attack.

Born and raised a bit of everywhere in France, Louis first started playing the drums at 14, but then decided to pick up a bass at 20 when he was tired of seating behind the stage.
After two initial bands in Nice, Côte d’Azur, he decided to bring his progish influences and his inability to count to 4 to Sweden. There, he tagged along the heaviest crew of Linköping, becoming le basistinen
His riffs contain few djent influences, heavy modern prog ideas, and a tad bit of traditional pop rock for the sake of the fun. They are here to remind that even in randomness, regularity may arise. If they have at least one common characteristic: they are as unpredictable as Louis!

Influences

Some beloved bassists:
Mariusz Duda
John Myung
Chris Wolstenholme
Simen Børven

Gear

Bass: Ibanez SR305B
Picks: his fingers
Amp: Ampeg Rocket Bass 108

Rikard
"Tangentinen"
Stenhag Holmberg

Role: Keyboard

Bio

Raised in a small village outside Linköping. Started playing piano at the age of 6. At the age of 15, and several instruments later, he converted the family's woodshed into a studio. He is probably best known as a drummer or guitarist, as these are his main instruments. However, in Razor Attack he has taken on the role as a keyboardist.

Freddie Mercury
Paul McCartney
